The Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager at Bower Place and plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless functioning of all facility maintenance operations. This position involves supervising a team of building operators, coordinating with external vendors, and implementing maintenance strategies to uphold the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
- Lead and manage the maintenance team, providing guidance and support and advancement opportunities.
- Schedule and assign tasks to ensure efficient coverage and optimal performance.
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Oversee relationships with third-party contractors and service providers.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with vendors to ensure timely and quality services.
- Evaluate vendor performance and address any issues promptly.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance programs to enhance equipment longevity.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and compliance with regulations.
- Optimize maintenance processes to achieve maximum operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline cross-functional processes.
- Implement cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.
- Work with Operations Manager on the emergency response plans for maintenance-related incidents.
- Coordinate with security and other relevant departments to address urgent situations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and vendor contracts.
- Generate regular reports on maintenance performance and present findings to management.
- Any other job-related duties and/or projects that may be assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- Proven experience in maintenance supervision, preferably in a retail or commercial setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Technical proficiency in facility maintenance systems and equipment.
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications
