39th Annual Pancake Breakfast

Bower, we know how much you love Pancakes, and we are so sad that we wont be able to give you the 39th Annual Pancake Breakfast this year. While this is a difficult announcement to share, we know it is the right thing to do. This does not mean the end of Pancake pride in our community; and we are now shifting our focus to fall and winter events, as well as heating up the griddles for the 2021 Pancakebreakfast (our 40th year!!).

We promise you wont be hungry for long! Stay tuned to our website and social media channels to be the first to know about our Virtual Foodie Tour, taking place this fall! You won’t want to miss this reservation!

Curb Your Cravings

We are just as hungry for pancakes as you are, so while we can’t share them together this year, you can certainly make them at home for you and your family! Here’s a delicious recipe for Old Fashioned Pancakes that you are sure to enjoy!

Ingredients

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
3 ½ teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 ¼ cups milk
1 egg
3 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the centre and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.

Step 2
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
