Do you qualify for our small business pop-up program?

Once you’ve submitted your lease agreement, you’ll hear back within 5 business days whether your pop-up request is approved.
If approved, you’ll receive a step-by-step guide outlining the paperwork needed, which must be completed at least one week before your rental date. Plan for the whole process to take atleast two weeks.
Canadian Business
Only legally registered Canadian businesses are eligible—unregistered businesses will not be accepted.
Small Business
Eligible businesses must be independently operated, and have fewer than 5 employees OR annual gross revenue under $100,000.
Permitted Usage
The following businesses are not eligible for this program: those selling thrifted, second-hand, or used items; franchises, corporate chains, subsidiaries, or direct sales companies (e.g., MLMs); food-based businesses, as the unit does not support food preparation or service; businesses using the space solely for promotion without direct on-site sales; vending businesses, ticket resellers, or speculative services; and makerspaces or shared workshop-style business models.
Aligned with Bower Place
Your pop-up must remain open during all mall operating hours, maintain a clean and professional presentation, and have all signage pre-approved by Bower Place.
Required Paperwork
After receiving approval, a business must provide a signed Facility License Agreement, proof of liability insurance prior to occupancy, and be a goods-based business that aligns with Bower Place's tenant mix. Bower Place reserves the right to decline any application at its sole discretion.

Sustainability
A unique retail mix isn’t the only way in which Bower Place innovates; we are firm believers in being one step ahead of the game in creating a healthy, sustainable community. Bower Place is incredibly proud to have achieved BOMA Silver Status which recognizes excellence in energy and environmental management. Our Shopping centre initiatives include:
Preference is given to green cleaning products; incorporating high efficiency sprinkler heads in landscaping; and, reusing construction materials whenever possible.
To minimize energy usage, low watt lighting is used throughout the centre and LED technology is utilized where possible. All corridors utilize motion activated lighting and all exterior lighting is powered by Canadian sourced wind energy.
The centre has a material recycling/recovery program that includes paper, cardboard, cans, plastics, glass bottles, batteries, wood pallets, cooking oil and organics.
Hybrid and eco-friendly vehicle parking stalls are located in our newly renovated East Parking Lot. Bike racks and on-site public transit stops are also available for those.
