On Saturday, July 15, 2023, the Backyard Bower BBQ took center stage in Red Deer, inviting everyone to indulge in a day of delightful food, fun, and entertainment. This heartwarming event, held in support of Aspire Special Needs Resource Centre, not only provided a scrumptious feast but also brought the community together for a meaningful cause. As an added bonus, the event marked the official kick-off for Westerner Days, setting the tone for a week of festivities.
Hosted in a vibrant parking lot, the Backyard Bower BBQ welcomed guests from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, offering free entry to all attendees. The main attraction was undoubtedly the mouthwatering burgers cooked by Sunterra Market. Over 3000 burgers were dished out, ensuring that everyone got a taste of the delectable offerings.
