What’s For Dinner

Bet you haven’t heard that one before! Never fear, foodie friends . . . we’ve got you covered with pizza, burgers, BBQ ribs and soooo much more! Here’s the 411 on all things yummy at Bower Place:


Papa, mama, grandpa, teen, uncle, or buddy? A&W’s family line-up of burgers has something for everyone! Not a burger fan? Not to worry . . . crispy, savoury onion rings and a cold root beer are both drool-worthy and delicious!

Chow down: Get the Teen Burger (100 per cent pure beef patty topped with cheddar cheese, mouthwatering bacon, crisp lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles and Teen sauce on a freshly-toasted sesame seed bun).


Famished? Whether it’s lunch or dinnertime, you must stop by Chachi’s to indulge in some gourmet sammies made with ingredients sourced from local suppliers. Take it from us, do not . . . we repeat, do NOT skip out on the jalapeno potato chips . . . which we put on everything!

Chow down: Get the Spicy Italian sandwich (calabrese salami, dry-cured capocollo, jalapeño jack cheese, garlic aioli, red pepper spread, red onion, lettuce and tomato).


Parlez-vous . . . ? Nevermind, all you need to know about Crêpe Delicious (aside from them being French) is that they offer sweet and savoury crêpes that will have your taste buds begging for more. After all, is there a better way to kickstart your day than with a crêpe filled with Nutella? Nope — but there is plenty more on offer, like our personal favourite . . . gelato!

Chow down: Get the California Chicken Crêpe (chicken breast on a bed of lettuce topped with avocado, tomato, corn and ranch dressing). Most delicious part: only 461 calories!


Are you up to the chopstick challenge? Not to worry, slurping noodles in the food court is perfectly acceptable! Of course, if you spill you can always buy a new shirt, right? Specializing in Japanese traditional teppanyaki-style cooking, Edo Japan has delicious bowls, bento boxes and sushi.

Chow down: Get a Chop Chop Bowl (perfectly grilled chicken, beef or crispy tempura shrimp on top of rice and raw veggies and topped with savoury bulgogi sauce).


Everything at Freshii is green, fresh, healthy . . . and delicious! Expect: bowls, wraps and burritos filled to the brim with nutritious ingredients like quinoa, avocado and kale.

Chow down: Get the Metaboost Salad (spinach, kale, field greens, goat cheese, mango, almonds, carrots and edamame topped with a balsamic vinaigrette).


Looking for a quick and delish pit stop? Never fear, stop by Jugo Juice for a quick smoothie filled with healthy ingredients like kale, spinach and protein, or, grab a bowl of yogurt and granola to-go. Either way, once you get a glimpse of the freshly-prepared wraps and panini in the display case, there’s a good chance your tastebuds will direct you back here for lunch!

Chow down: Get the Kale Chicken Caesar (grilled chicken breast, kale, spinach, red onion, cheddar cheese and garlic lover’s Caesar dressing on multigrain flatbread).


Garlic potatoes! Did we get your attention? If so, here’s some more food for thought . . . watching as your meal is flame-grilled in front of you while you ponder a wide selection of tasty sauces . . . kimchi salsa or tangy BBQ sauce or both?

Chow down: Get the BBQ Short Ribs (succulent short ribs with steamed rice and choice of two sides . . . in addition to the garlic potatoes, we’re big fans of the chicken dumplings and glass noodles) at Koryo Korean Barbecue.


Getting “hangry”? Stop by Manchu Wok for the perfect cure — ginger beef, sweet and sour chicken balls, fried rice and more delectable staples — all available on-demand, and all soooo yummy! Better throw in a few egg rolls too, because . . . well, because why not!

Chow down: Take-out any of the Family Feasts (dinners for two, four or six including entrée(s), rice or noodles, mixed vegetables, egg rolls and fortune cookies).


The authentic Greek salad, skewers, pita bread and tzatziki here will have you looking for plates to smash, but we recommend treating yourself to a yummy spanakopita for dessert instead! Will you pick chicken, lamb or beef? Whichever tasty route you go, you can bank on Zeus himself approving of the quality and authenticity of your meal at Opa! Of Greece.

Chow down: Get the Opa Platter (tender souvlaki grilled to perfection and served with rice, oven-roasted potatoes, choice of Greek or Caesar salad, pita wedges and tzatziki).


Eat dessert first! Time to pick a DQ Blizzard flavour . . . wait, maybe you should get a milkshake instead . . . or, a chocolate-dipped cone, Dilly Bar, Peanut Buster Parfait (sigh) . . . see what we mean? If you’re taking a hiatus from ice cream (why?!), try a classic Strawberry-Banana Julius instead — you won’t regret it!

Chow down: Get the Deluxe Cheeseburger Meal (100% all beef patty topped with cheddar cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, mayo and ketchup and served on a warm toasted bun with fries, a drink and a sundae which . . . can be upgraded to a mini Blizzard treat for only $1 more).


Create your own pizza masterpiece! Enter Pannizza stage right: pick the crust, toppings and sauce and then watch while they make/bake it in front of your very eyes in just . . . wait, are we reading this right . . . two minutes?! While you’re waiting . . . note that they also offer fresh-baked sandwiches and poutine.

Chow down: Get the Veggie Pizza (pizza sauce, mushrooms, red onions, peppers, olives, tomatoes and mozzarella).


While we’d never say no to a footlong sub sandwich, Subway offers so much more including wraps, panini, scrumptious salads, tasty soups and shhhhhh . . . double chocolate chip cookies (um . . . one for me and one for me).

Chow down: Get the Chipotle Steak and Cheese Panini (100 per cent Canadian seasoned steak, crisp ciabatta bread and flavourful veggies with the spicy kick of chipotle sauce . . . all grilled ‘til warm and cheesy).


If you ask us, there is no better use for 99 cents than Taco Tuesday at TacoTime, but don’t worry, there is plenty more to enjoy on other days of the week. Burritos, nachos, taco salads and don’t forget about their famous mexi-fries which, now come stuffed with creamy cheddar cheese and diced jalapeno peppers! Si gracias!

Chow down: Get the Beef Taco Salad (crisp lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, seasoned ground beef, salad topper chips and your choice of dressing).
