Believe it or not, Easter is right around the corner. Now, to most people, the first thing that comes to mind about Easter is chocolate . . . I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s in my top three too, but when Easter comes around, I can’t help but be taken back to my childhood Easter Egg Hunts!
I remember when I was young, my mom and dad would make chocolate egg trails leading from our rooms to the living room for Easter. My father was so particular that we each got 1 trail and the trails had EXACTLY the same amount of chocolate eggs in them . . . I can still hear him yelling “STAY ON YOUR OWN TRAIL, STOP STEALING YOUR SISTERS EGGS” . . . to be fair, his constant reminders were more than warranted (oops)!
The best part of the trails were the very end, which always led to a small present for us. Mine was usually roller blades, which was probably a strategic move on my parents behalf so I had an outlet for all of that energy gained from my chocolate egg feast that followed! I could literally eat those chocolate eggs all day, and wouldn’t you know it, now I work right around the corner from the chocolate egg stockpile at Shopper’s Drug Mart! To those of you who have a slight issue with self control at this time of the year, we certainly share something in common! I mean, when you walk into Shopper’s Drug Mart and see the varieties of chocolate deliciousness — ah, who needs self control anyway! Now . . . where are my roller blades???
When Courtney isn’t helping millions of customers each year, you will probably find her “off the grid” out west!
