With Spring in full swing, it’s time to bring the pleasures of the indoors…outside! Bring on patio season! What’s better than enjoying a cold glass of rosé on a bright sunny day with great friends and family? Not much, I don’t think. Now, as we spend more time outside, there is no better opportunity to transition your little backyard, deck or patio into a little staycay oasis. And if you do, here are some suggestions to help you do so.
But first, make a list of the top three things that matter to you most in your space. For me, it’s the ambiance, food, and drinks.
So, let’s start with ambiance; below are some great finds. The key, for me, is comfort. Regardless of the size of space that you are working with, you want to make sure that it’s cozy, whether it’s a hot day or cool night (or snow in some cases). Having a few key fixtures like seating, tables, an umbrella, and a blanket is a must.
I love the below lounge sets; depending on your space, it can be a seat for one or many. My favourite is the Havana 3 piece sectional; it’s great for company, but also great for those solo tanning moments!
You also can’t forget a great table for your drinks and eats; the below is my fave as it is great for those cool nights where you still want to spend time outside. Pair it with this umbrella; I LOVE that it can face any direction to help shade you from the sun but not completely block it, should you desire. Add some pillows, a throw and a great game; see you tomorrow, I’m staying right here.
Next, food! MMMMM, who doesn’t love a great charcuterie board? It was all the rage last year and still is. But I’m loving some of these delicious takeaway items you can find in our mall. Just place it on some of your fancy dishware, and no one would ever know the difference…shhh!
And then, what pairs great with food? Wine and cocktails, of course! Below is one of my fave cocktail recipes. Pair it with these must-haves for cocktail making and consuming, and you are good to go! Psssst! All these ingredients you can find at Sunterra Market. Except for the liquor–maybe make it a mocktail?
