Ah, 2022! Can you believe that we are already here? I sure can’t. With 2022 right on our doorstep, it’s time to think of New Year’s Eve, and with a new year comes a new you! So, where do you start? For me, it’s ringing in the new year feeling/looking your best! So, however, you are ringing it in — with family, friends, a special someone, or home alone, it’s always fun to dress up and look your best.
So, let’s start with makeup! I love a bold red lip, especially on New Year’s when it’s time to sparkle and be BOLD. This Lipglass Ruby Woo — found at MAC (in Hudson’s Bay) is the perfect red (i.e., suitable for most skin tones) and is simply gorg!
With a bold lip, I like to use neutral eyeshadow; this NUDE pallet from Huda Beauty (found at Sephora) is perfect for this. I like to use matte shadows instead of sparkly, as your lips are already the statement piece.
Pair this with some amazing highlighter and Flirty lashes, and you’re all set!
Next is the perfect outfit, and H&M and Hudson’s Bay have you covered (you must also check out PSEUDIO, Ricki’s, and Marshalls . . . some amazing dresses there too!). I am a huuuuge long sleeve dress type of gal (especially in the Winter). And these four I’m loving! Ugh, I just can’t choose. There’s more reserved, sexy, and then FAB, so it depends on what I end up doing.
However, in saying that, there are a few non-sleeve dresses I also have my eyes on. I do run cold, so I must also have the perfect jacket to accompany me to keep me warm and looking chic! These four dresses and coats, for me, is the perfect pairing!
